Waste/Recycling Service Delayed by One Day for Week Following Labor Day
ORANGE COUNTY, August 24, 2006 - Waste Management of Orange County’s trash and recycling pick-up schedule will be delayed by one day throughout the week of Sept. 4, in observance of Labor Day. This means customers in the following cities should place their bins out for pick-up one day later than usual, beginning Sept. 5 through Sept. 9:
- Irvine
- La Habra
- Laguna Beach
- Lake Forest (includes Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills)
- Mission Viejo
- Newport Coast (in Newport Beach)
- Orange
- Santa Ana
- Communities in unincorporated Orange County, including Coto de Caza, Cowan Heights, El Modena, Emerald Bay, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, Lemon Heights, Modjeska Canyon, North Tustin, Orange Olive, Orange Park Acres, Silverado Canyon, Trabuco Canyon
“Customers who usually receive service on Monday will instead receive it Tuesday, and so on throughout the remainder of the week, with Friday’s customers receiving service on Saturday,” said David Ross, senior district manager. “We appreciate our customers’ cooperation with the holiday schedule so that all of our employees can observe Labor Day.”
All Waste Management of Orange County operations will be closed on Sept. 4 – the hauling operations, customer service center and transfer stations in Irvine and Orange will re-open for normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Orange County customer service is available at (714) 558-7761, (949) 642-1191 or (562) 694-3730, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
