Charles A. White, P.E., Director of Regulatory Affairs for Waste Management’s Western Group, will be one of the panelists featured in an event alongside Earth Day founder John McConnell at the Laguna Beach “Earth Trustee City” event on Wednesday, March 21, 2007.
The City of Laguna Beach will be designated as an Earth Trustee City by McConnell, bestowing the honor he has developed to inspire the city to be an example for others. White and the other panelists will discuss what this designation means for the city’s goals and future actions.
Continuing the celebration of the original Earth Day, which McConnell celebrated at the time of the vernal equinox in 1971, Waste Management will also serve as a sponsor of the “Adopt-a-Beach” cleanup hosted by Clean Water Now! Coalition on Saturday, March 24, at Main Beach, Oak St., and Treasure Island/Aliso Beaches from 9 a.m. to noon.
